Borkomet Sp. z o.o. Sp.k. is implementing a project funded by the European Funds titled “Purchase and implementation of an intelligent IT system of the Smart Factory class, independently and directly managing production.”

The aim of the project is to optimize the production process through automatic allocation of manufacturing tasks, taking into account the most efficient path for executing all production orders. This objective will be achieved through the implementation of the IPOsystem, which autonomously manages the work of employees and machines in real-time, considering the current state of resources, orders, and the production floor situation. Without the involvement of planners and direct supervision, the system makes optimal decisions regarding the sequence of execution and resource allocation for each technological activity. The IPOsystem relieves production managers from the need to perform complex planning and logistical processes, as well as direct task assignments on the production floor. The project’s implementation results include cost reduction, increased production efficiency, complete control over order deadlines, and maximum utilization of bottlenecks in the production process.

Project Implementation Period: 2020-08-01 to 2021-09-30
Total Project Value: 743,904.00 PLN
EU Funding for the Project: 514,080.00 PLN

The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Program Smart Growth, Sub-measure 2.2.2 Open Innovations – Support for Technology Transfer.

We would like to inform you that as of March 31, 2013, the implementation of the investment project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Program Innovative Economy 4.3 Technological Credit has been completed.
Project No. POIG.04.03.00-00-A18/12-00, project title “Technology for Manufacturing Long, Threaded Sleeves for Oil and Gas Extraction Installations”.

As part of the project, a new, world-unique “Deep Drilling and Detail Machining Technology (sleeves for oil and gas extraction installations)” has been implemented. The following products have been introduced into production:

  1. Special sleeves made of high-yield strength steel (Rp0.2 up to 1000 MPa) with tight external and internal threads and high load-bearing capacity, with a wall thickness as low as 0.5 mm and lengths ranging from 500 mm to 2000 mm, certified according to API 5 CT and API 7.1.
  2. Special screws, nuts, and other connecting elements used in gas installations, coupling screws, and special sleeves up to 500 mm in length with a thread radius not exceeding 0.127 mm and a small helix angle of up to 35 degrees, certified according to API 5 CT and API 7.1.

The innovative products, in the form of sleeves for the oil and gas extraction industry, will increase the company’s visibility and customer satisfaction with high-quality products, thus strengthening its position in the competitive market. The project significantly enhances the company’s level of innovation.
